Hi Paul, Thank you for your feedback, it’s very helpful for me to clarify what your expectations are. Based on your input, I suggest structuring the support across the following areas: - Review and optimisation of the chart of accounts - Guidance on capitalisation and asset treatment in line with local regulations - Implementation of practical internal controls (payments, expenses, monthly close) - Full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks, including bank reconciliations and transaction processing (subject to transaction volume and data availability), bill attached - Monthly financial review and reporting, along with ongoing financial advisory Proposed pricing (monthly): - Light (USD 800 – 1,000): Review & advisory only - Standard (USD 1,200 – 1,800): Monthly review and moderate operational support - Full support (USD 2,000 – 3,000): End-to-end financial operations, including bookkeeping, reporting, and controls Given the current setup, the multi-bank, multi-currency structure and the need to establish solid controls while actively managing financial operations, I would recommend the full support option, the initial level would be around USD 2,800 per month to ensure proper stabilisation. Once operations are running smoothly, we can review and adjust the level accordingly. Separately, regarding Lane, could you please confirm the scope of work for this? Once confirmed, I will coordinate with Lane to provide the 2026 data so we can proceed with the transition. Happy to discuss and refine this further based on your priorities. Dear Phương, Thank you for your proposal. I noticed quite an increase compared to where we started. To help me better understand your pricing, could you please clarify how many accounting entries this calculation is based on? I previously estimated that bookkeeping and accounting would range between $500 and $700. Additionally, could you provide more detail on the following categories? - Review and Advisory: What specifically does this entail? - Operational Support: Could you provide 2–3 examples of what is included in this tier? - End-to-End Financial Operations: What additional services are included here that account for the price being double that of the Standard support? I look forward to your clarification so we can determine the best way forward. Hi Paul, Thank you for getting back to me. I appreciate your questions as they help clarify the scope more precisely. Regarding the USD 500-700 range, I believe there may have been a mix up with a different scope or project, as I have not previously quoted within that range for this engagement. Based on your initial description, particularly your note that you see this role evolving into a CFO level position focused on interpreting and optimising numbers. So I structured the proposal to reflect not only bookkeeping, but also operational and financial oversight. For reference, if the scope were limited to bookkeeping only (transaction recording, reconciliations, classification follow USALI, and standard reporting), the pricing would typically fall within the USD 700–1,000 range, depending on transaction volume (450-500 transactions per month). However, the current proposal reflects a broader scope, including: *Review & Advisory* Ongoing financial review, identifying inefficiencies (example: bank fees, vendor costs, margin leakage), and providing actionable recommendations to improve profitability. *Operational Support for examples* - Preparing and proposing outgoing payments with clear cash flow visibility - Monitoring receivables and coordinating with the reservations team *End-to-End Financial Operations* - Managing the full finance function on an ongoing basis - Implementing and maintaining internal controls - Ensuring accurate and timely reporting - Identifying and executing process improvements across finance and operations In this context, the role aligns more closely with a finance manager/controller function, with elements of CFO level support, rather than pure bookkeeping. That said, I am very open to structuring this in phases, for example, starting with a more focused bookkeeping scope and expanding as the systems and processes stabilise if needed. I look forward to your thoughts on how you would like to proceed. Hi Paul, I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to follow up on the monthly accounting project for Namkhan. Could you please share your thoughts on my proposal and the budget you have in mind? I’m open to a flexible budget depending on the scope and level of involvement in the accounting system. As Lane will be arriving soon, I’d like to begin the handover process as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition. I’d appreciate your confirmation. Looking forward to your feedback.
